About Susan

Susan Malewicz is a clinically trained and experienced psychotherapist with years of experience providing psychotherapy and sex addiction therapy in the Long Island area. She is a New York state licensed Social Worker as well as a certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor providing services.

She provides individual, couples and group psychotherapy therapy for people who have a sexual/cybersex addiction, drug & alcohol and gambling addictions.

Susan is also a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) who provides evaluations for the Department of Transportation.

She is a member of the Criminal Justice Addiction Work Group, the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Society For The Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH).

She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) credentialed through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). The CSAT is a clinical certification facilitated by Dr. Carnes and CSAT associates. Dr Carnes is the internationally known and respected sex addiction therapist, researcher and author of Out Of The Shadows, the seminal book on sex addiction, and many other books on sex addiction.

Susan also participates in ongoing clinical training, coursework and conferences in psychotherapy and sex addiction treatment.
